By "we" or "IAQG" we mean the International Aerospace Quality Group, a legally incorporated not for profit association that sets the standard for quality within the worldwide supply chain of the aerospace industry and with memberships from America, Europe and Asia Pacific regions.
The IAQG is acting as the controller where you are a representative of an IAQG Member Company, Committee Member, Online Aerospace Supplier Information System (OASIS) participant/user, Supply Chain Management Handbook (SCMH) user or IAQG Contractor.
The IAQG personal information handling policy and procedures have been developed in line with the requirements of the Regulation EU 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation or "GDPR").

We collect and process personal data of a professional nature by means of cookies or by means of your contact with us or the contact with your organization with us, when (a) your member company contacts us to add you as its representative in the IAQG or as a committee participant; (b) you register to access and utilize IAQG data and information (such as OASIS or SCMH); (c) you attend IAQG or sector meetings and/or (d) you or your organization are contractors with the IAQG.

The personal data you provide to IAQG may be processed for the purposes listed below and on the legal basis indicated.
IAQG ensures that the processing of your personal data is organized in a lawful manner in accordance with article 6 of the GDPR.
Your personal data are stored for as long as is necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected and, in any case, until the expiry of the legal retention periods, in particular for tax and accounting purposes and until the end of the limitation period for contractual liability.

These processing operations are based on the legitimate interests of the IAQG and of its member organizations in the functioning of the IAQG in accordance with its corporate objectives as a standard writing and networking organization. When you act as an IAQG contractor, the processing of your personal data is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party including the organization of your work with us and to meet our contractual obligations (e.g., pay invoices).

The legal basis of these processing is the legitimate interests pursued by the IAQG to collect personal data necessary for analytical purposes to improve the user’s experience and the IAQG website and necessary to ensure the security of its website to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, destruction or alteration of your personal data.

Please note that the regulations in force may require IAQG to process your personal navigation data, in particular for survey purposes, and for longer periods than those indicated in the third paragraph.
The processing of your personal data allows us to manage any enquiries you may need to communicate to us.
It is the legitimate interest of IAQG to be able to answer to enquiries you may have in order to give you the relevant information.
The data processed in this context are kept 1 year following their collection.
The processing of your data in the event of a complaint may be necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or may be necessary for the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request.
The data are kept for the duration of the pre-contractual and/or contractual relationship and until the end of the period of prescription of the obligations related to the contract or the precontractual phase.
Apart from the two cases mentioned above, the processing of your data in the event of a complaint is based on the legitimate interests of IAQG, which consist of being able to give the best possible follow-up to your complaint and to prevent its recurrence. This may include taking appropriate action against those within IAQG who may have made a mistake, improving internal procedures and generally improving its service. However, you may object to the processing of your data on this basis if your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms prevail over the said legitimate interests of IAQG.
The data used for the purposes mentioned in the previous paragraph are kept for a period of 18 months from the last contact with you.
IAQG may need to process your personal data in order to enforce or defend its rights in court or in the context of a mediation.
It is the legitimate interest of IAQG to be able to defend itself in justice, especially in front of courts or in the context of a mediation.
The data processed in this context are kept for the time necessary to bring the dispute to its final conclusion and in compliance with legal obligations, in particular with regard to archiving and accounting, which may prescribe a longer period for all or part of the data kept.
As described in detail below (see "What are my rights in relation to my personal data?"), the protection of your personal data is an important value for IAQG. We therefore also process your data to enable you to exercise your rights towards us and to protect your personal data.
This consideration and protection is a legal obligation, based in particular on the GDPR.

The processing of the personal data you provide to IAQG can be necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which IAQG is subject, such as for tax reasons or in order to comply with accounting norms.
We may share your personal data with member organizations and committees to process it for the purposes of inter-group administration.
We may also share your personal data with our subcontractors which will act as processors, i.e. third-party providers of services on behalf of the IAQG, including web hosting, communication, business development, finance processing and accounting.

Any transfer of personal data to a third party inside the EU/EEA will only take place if the recipient is compliant with European privacy and personal data protection regulations.
Some of our processors are established outside the EEA, meaning that your personal data will be transferred to a third country. Those processors may be located in a country covered by an adequacy decision by the European Commission and if this is not the case, the protection of your data is safeguarded by means of the standard contract clauses (Commission implementing decision 2021/914) or similar constructions such as binding corporate rules.
